Vincent Zanetti

Multi-instrumentalist, percussionist specialised in accompanying west-African dance troupes, schooled by some of the most famous traditional drummers, arranger and artistic director from 1993 to 2003 for the Mali musician Soungalo Coulibaly, founder of Djinn Djow Productions (recipient of the 2002 Award for Encouragement by the State of the Valais, Switzerland), he has worked alongside many distinguished West African artists (Youssou N'Dour, Boubacar "Kar Kar" Traore, Alioune Baye Der....), all the while remaining faithful to other repertoires, namely that of Valaisan singer Pascal Rinaldi.
Collector and researcher, artistic director for the Notes D'Equinoxe Festival in Delemont (Switzerland) and producer for L'Ecoute des Mondes - a weekly radio broadcast on Radio Suisse Romande / Espace 2 featuring current traditional World Music - his articles and his discography make him a European authority for World Music.
